Major breakthrough in Chinese consulate terror attack, Main facilitator arrested from UAE

KARACHI - Major breakthrough has been reported in the Chinese Consulate terror attack in Karachi.
As per the media report, the main facilitator of the attack on the Chinese consulate in Karachi has been arrested from Sharjah.
DIG CTD Abdullah Sheikh said the facilitator was present in Karachi at the time of the attack. According to the police official, the facilitator had received Rs0.9 million for the attack which he distributed to the attackers.
Sheikh added that the facilitator has connections in foreign countries and was arrested on CTD’s identification.
On November 23, security forces foiled an attack on the Chinese consulate located in the Clifton neighbourhood of Karachi. Security personnel killed the attackers, recovering suicide jackets and ammunition.
Two policemen were martyred in the attack, while staff at the consulate was unhurt.
