SRINAGAR - In occupied Kashmir, Indian police re-arrested Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement (DPM) leader, Shakeel Ahmed Butt, soon after his release from Srinagar Central Jail.
The DPM in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Shakeel Ahmed Butt was rearrested by the police outside the central Jail after he was released on court orders on Monday. It said that Shakeel Butt was lodged in Srinagar Central Jail since his arrest on 21st of this month.
The DPM strongly denounced the re-arrest of the party leader. It appealed to the international human rights organizations including Amnesty International to take notice of the plight of Kashmiri detainees languishing in different jails and play role in their release.
