KP govt, Chinese company sign MoU for development of REZ

Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Chinese company for development of Rashakai Economic Zone (REZ) under CPEC.

A government spokesman told Radio Pakistan Peshawar correspondent that under the agreement, the Chinese company will invest one hundred billion rupees in different fields, including textile, Information Technology, energy, marble and industrial units of food processing sectors.

The economic zone will generate over one hundred thousand job opportunities for the youth and help boost trade and economic activities in the province.
