ATA sections added to Asma murder case

MARDAN: Under instructions from the district public prosecutor, the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) sections have been included to the Asma murder case.
On the demand of the Jirga, representatives of the MI, ISI and IB have been included in the joint investigation team.
The KPK IGP has sent a report in response to the suo motu notice taken by the CJP.
Asma’s relatives boycotted the Jirga convened by the Mardan district government.
Mardan DIG Muhammad Alam Shinwari said that the scope of the investigations will be extended after receiving the forensic report.
On January 14, the body of Asma was found from fields, but the police are still clueless about the killer(s).
