Governor Salman Taseer murderer Mumtaz Qadri hanged in Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi

ISLAMABAD: Mumtaz Qadri, murderer of former Punjab Governor Salman Taseer has sent to the gallows in Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi.
As per details, Mumtaz Qadri was hanged in Adiala Jail early this morning. Strict security arrangements were made inside and around the jail while any irrelevant person was not allowed to go around the jail. Mumtaz Qadri was also allowed to meet his family before he was hanged.
On the other hand, protesting rallies are being held in different cities against the death sentence of Mumtaz Qadri. The protestors have offered absentia funeral prayer of Mumtaz Qadri here at Shahdra Mor and blocked the road by putting tires on fire.
The protestors chanted slogans against government and blocked the Metro Bus track. The passengers had to face a lot of problems due to the blocking of metro track.
The protestors in Hyderabad blocked different roads and forcefully closed the schools.
It is also worthy to mention here that former governor Punjab Salman Taseer was murdered by Mumtaz Qadri here at Kohsar Market, Islamabad on January 4, 2011.
Anti-Terrorism Court ordered death sentence to Mumtaz Qadri. When he appealed in High Court against anti-terrorism court verdict then HC also maintained the judgement of anti-terrorism court.
Mumtaz Qadri appealed in Supreme Court against HC but SC also rejected his plea while President Mamnoon Hussain rejected the plea of mercy of Mumtaz Qadri few days ago.
