COAS carrying the coffin of Shaheed Captain Umair after his funeral
ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif said that Pak Army will go to any extent for the eradication of terrorism. Pak Army will chase them and their hideouts will be destroyed by forces.

 

According to ISPR, Army Chief visited Peshawar here at Sunday and participated in the funeral prayer of Captain Umair and 3 other army personnel who embraced martyrdom in the fight against terrorists in Shawal.

 

Chief of Army Staff also carried the coffin of Shaheed Captain Umair after his funeral prayer. Peshawar Corps Commander Hadayat ur Rehman and other high military, civil officers were also present at the occasion and expressed their solidarity with martyrs families.

 

While paying tribute to the sacrifices of martyrs, Army Chief said that every soldier of Pak Army is determined for the eradication of terrorism.

 

Later, he visited Peshawar CMH hospital and enquired the health of injured army personnel. He also visited Peshawar Corps Headquarter where he was briefed over the latest situation of operation in Shawal by Corps Commander Gen. Hadayat ur Rehman.
