US Military claim killing 1,000 Taliban along with 19 top commanders

KABUL - US Military has claimed killing 1,000 Taliban militants along with 19 Commanders in successful operations across Afghanistan.
Over one thousand militants were killed during the joint operations and airstrikes conducted by the Afghan and U.S. forces in various parts of Afghanistan in the past two months.
The latest report and figures released by the U.S. military indicates a sharp rise in the joint ground operations and airstrikes against the Taliban militants during the recent months.
According to the report, the U.S. forces and the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces have carried out around 550 airstrikes against the Taliban targets with the span of two months.
Col. Dave Butler, a spokesman for the U.S. military in Afghanistan has said that the airstrikes were carried out with an aim to force the Taliban militants to participate in peace talks.
He has said that the United States and the NATO-led Resolute Support nations are keen to stabilize Afghanistan to the point where the terrorists groups are not allowed to have safe havens and carry out attacks across the world.
At least 1089 militants including 19 of their commander have been killed over the span of less than two months, the report by the U.S. military stated.
