US rejects ICJ jurisdiction over Iran sanctions case

United States has rejected jurisdiction International Court of Justice over Iran sanctions case.

The United States told the court it has no jurisdiction to rule on Iran's demand for the suspension of nuclear-related sanctions recently reimposed on the country.

Iran's representative in the case, Mohsen Mohebi, branded the sanctions as naked economic aggression.

He said United States is publicly propagating a policy intended to severely damage Iran's economy, Iranian nationals and companies.
