LAHORE (APP): Punjab Additional Chief Secretary Shamail Ahmad Khawaja has directed the district administration to set up special cells for timely redressal of complaints of expatriate Pakistanis.
He was presiding over a meeting of the Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC), Punjab, in the Civil Secretariat.
Shamail Khawaja said that the district level special cells would be closely connected with local police and other departments so that complaints of overseas Pakistanis could be disposed of well in time.
Commissioner OPC Afzaal Bhatti said the sole purpose of formation of the OPC by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was to provide an effective platform to the expatriates for resolving their genuine problems.
He said the OPC was maintaining close liaison with provincial and district administration of the province so that the expatriate Pakistanis could feel fully comfortable.
