Imran Khan grills Government institutions for being subordinate to Sharif Family

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan Monday said holding peaceful public meetings and protests was the democratic right of all political parties.

Addressing a news conference here, he said it was the responsibility of opposition parties to raise voice against the flaws and wrongdoings in the system, referring to the planned PTI's public meetings and protests in the coming days.

He criticized the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for not taking action against the persons, whose names appeared in the Panama leaks.

He claimed that the FBR and NAB had failed to deliver in the Panama papers' matter, while the performance of ECP remained disappointed with regard to rigging in the general election 2013.

He criticized the government and said the terms of reference could not be framed for five months for the proposed commission over the Panama leaks, which prompted PTI to move the ECP and Supreme Court.
