Suicide blast hits Afghan Police Chief in Zabul

KABUL - Afghan Officials said a suicide bomber riding a bicycle detonated his explosives close to the district police chief’s vehicle.
Zabul officials said Sunday that Abdul Aziz Tokhi, Shajoye district police chief and Lalai the security director of the district in Zabul Province, were wounded in a suicide bombing in the district.
District governor Wazir Mohammad Jawadi said the incident occurred around 1pm local time when a suicide bomber riding a bicycle detonated his explosives close to Tokhi’s vehicle.
Shajoye is a district of Zabul Province in southern Afghanistan. It is located in the eastern part of the province, close to Ghazni Province.
