ISLAMABAD – Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is said to be shot andinjured in heavy gunfire that erupted from outside the royal palace.

Press TV reported that the secretary-general of the Islamic Revival PartyMohammed al-Mas’ari made the revelation. In a recent interview withLebanon’s al-Mayadeen TV, he said that bin Salman was hit by bullets in anattack.

Reports of heavy fire outside the palace circulated earlier on the media.However; Saudi Arabia’s state media claimed that a toy drone reached closedto the royal palace and was later shot down. Saudi activist while rejectedthe claims says that it was an attack from vehicles carrying heavy machineguns and shooting randomly.

It has been reported that bin Salman had been evacuated to a nearby bunkerat a military base for his safety.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman used to make frequent media appearances butsince the attack happened he is not seen on camera even when new USSecretary of State Mike Pompeo made his visit to Riyadh in April.” – AFP
