LONDON – PM Narendra Modi address to Indian diaspora in London has beencancelled due mass agitation program unleashed by the Sikhs organisationsacross UK and Europe.

Unlike the November 2015 community event at Wembley stadium, Prime MinisterNarendra Modi will address invitation-only event in London on April 18during his visit to the UK for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

The event, called Bharat Ki Baat, Sabke Saath, will be held at a venue inWestminster, organisers said.

Billed as a “niche event”, it is being projected as a “live interactiveconversation” with Modi that will be telecast live.

The London-based organisers said a Wembley-style event was not possibleduring Modi’s visit due mass agitation by Sikha and security concerns.
