LAHORE – Rains could delay the first Pakistan Super League Eliminator 1 atthe Gadaffi Stadium in Lahore on Tuesday but a washout could benefitPeshawar Zalmi.
Zalmi are scheduled to meet Quetta Gladiators in a repeat of last year’stitle clash, which Peshawar had won.
For today’s match, weather forecast is for continuous rains. However, Zalmiwill go through to the second Eliminator against the Karachi Kings on March25 in case the match is washed out due to rains.
According to the tournament rules, the team with a better position in thefinal standings at the end of the round robin league will advance.
When the teams arrived at the Gadaffi Stadium, they were greted by rainsand local Met office has forecast more rains in the evening.
The Zalmis are upbeat after two back-to-back wins that propelled them tothird position on the league table.
The Zalmis are also better placed than the other PSL teams as they are atfull strength for the playoffs, including their first-choice foreignplayers.
