Has FBR extended last date for filing of Income Tax Returns?

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided not to extend the deadline for filing tax returns; however, the concerned commissioner may provide an extension upon prior request.
According to the details, the FBR has set the deadline for filing income tax returns as September 30, with no extension planned.
However, an extension of up to 15 days may be granted upon a previous request from the concerned commissioner.
According to FBR officials, so far, more than 1.7 million individuals have filed their tax returns, and it is possible to exceed the income tax threshold of 2 million by September 30.
