Pothohar Urial Conservation & Trophy Hunting CBO notified

LAHORE (APP): Punjab Wildlife and Parks department has notified a new Community Based Organization (CBO) Pothohar Urial Conservation and Trophy Hunting Organization.
Notification has been issued after completion of all legal formalities. The number of CBOs has been increased from 4 to 5 in the province with this notification.
Director General Wildlife and Parks Punjab Khalid Ayaz Khan told this while talking to a national news channel, in his office, here on Tuesday.
He said that four CBOs Kallar Kahar Urial Conservation and Trophy Hunting Organization Chakwal, Wildlife Lovers Urial Conservation and Trophy Hunting Organization Jhelum, Western Jhelum Urial Conservation and Trophy Hunting Organization Jhelum and Kala Bagh Urial Conservation and Trophy Hunting Organization were already working for Urial conservation and protection and due to their efforts Urial population has increased and it is hoped that with the establishment of new CBO, better results would be seen in Urial conservation.
Khalid Ayaz said that the wildlife department is following the Punjab government policy to bring forward private sector by adopting a comprehensive strategy.
He said that with the establishment of new CBO, a healthy competition would take place which would not only help increase Urial population but also improve socio-economic conditions of the people of this area.
