Former Prime Minister Shahid Khakan Abbasi was prevented from traveling abroad at Islamabad Airport. Shahid Khakan Abbasi was accompanied by his wife on a trip to China. According to media reports, immigration authorities at Islamabad Airport stopped former Prime Minister Shahid Khakan Abbasi from traveling abroad, informing him that his name is on the Sindh High Court's stop list, so he cannot travel abroad.
After being informed by immigration authorities, Shahid Khakan Abbasi returned from the airport, while his wife departed for China on flight CZ 6008. It's worth noting that earlier, on September 10, Interior Minister of Sindh, Brigadier (Retired) Haris Nawaz, had stated that no action was being taken against any politician in Sindh.
In a statement, he mentioned that there was no political victimization happening in Sindh, only NAB and criminal cases were underway. Brigadier (Retired) Haris Nawaz stated that there was no one from Sindh on the stop list, and no money had been withdrawn from anyone's house in the province. He also said that no raids had been conducted at the homes of any politicians in Sindh.
Brigadier (Retired) Haris Nawaz suggested that it's possible that rumors are being spread to defame the government. It was previously known that the number of names included in the immigration's stop list has exceeded one thousand, and names of close associates of Bilawal and Murad Ali Shah, as well as personalities funding the PTI, are included in the stop list.
Immigration officers at all international airports have been directed to strictly prevent individuals on the stop list from traveling. The country's economic woes are closing in on those responsible.
