PIA crew members set a new standards of honesty

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) crew members have made headlines for all the wrong reasons in the past.

However, Steward Mumtaz Abro, and Airhostess, Mehwish Shaukat, have set a new standard of honesty by returning a huge amount of foreign currency to a passenger flying from Manchester to Islamabad.

According to reports, on November 24th, PIA’s flight PK-702 took off from Manchester for Islamabad and a passenger onboard lost 4000 British pounds.

Two of the crew members found the lost money and returned it to the passenger as it is. PIA officials have praised the act of honesty from both the crew members.

The federal government has undertaken numerous measures to transform PIA into a profitable organization. As a result, PIA’s losses have decreased significantly.

From January to June 2019, the revenue of the national flag carrier increased by 44% as it earned Rs. 94.73 billion. During the first six months of 2018, PIA’s revenue stood at just Rs.65.72 billion.
