Only one Pakistani University among Asian top 100 Universities in 2020 Rankings

ISLAMABAD - Maintaining its upward trajectory among Asian link universities, the National University link of Sciences and Technology link (NUST) has retained its No. 1 position among Pakistani link Higher education link Institutions (HEIs) for the third year on the trot, as per QS Asia link University Rankings 2020 link.
NUST has ascended 4 positions from link last year's ranking of 87, performing the rare feat of being among the top link 15% universities in Asia link.
In addition, the university has mounted 36 positions in Asian link rankings in the last five years, from link 119 in the 2016 link rankings, to the present position of 83 in the 2020 link rankings, which is the fastest elevation by any Pakistani link university during this period.
This year, NUST is the only Pakistani link HEI amongst the top link 100 Asian link universities, said a press release issued here.
As many as 557 Asian link universities � out of which 29 universities from link Pakistan link � were considered for the 2020 link Asian link rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds, one of the most prestigious and credible university ranking agencies in the world link. QS rankings are carried out based on academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty / student link ratio, citation per paper, paper per faculty, staff with PhD, and internationalisation.
It also merits mention that NUST is among the top link 400 global universities, as per QS World link University Rankings 2020 link announced earlier this year.
