128 companies emerge for investment in KPK mineral sector

PESHAWAR: (APP) As many as 128 companies have submitted online application in one month with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government showing their interest for investing in exploration in different sectors of minerals.
According to official data, the Mineral Department of KP invited investors to submit their online applications for investment in mineral sector on November 1.
Till the end of November, as many as 128 companies have applied through online process, the documents revealed.
It further said that nine companied have also applied for large scale mining exploration in different sectors, while 622 investors applied in individual capacity for issuance of licenses in exploration of minerals.
The office of KP Minieral Department said that scrutiny of online application would be completed by end of December and from January 2017 the Minerals' Tile Committee would formally issue licenses for allotment of lease to various companies.
