Earlier, the tournament was facing further delays as the Abu Dhabi government withdrew its permission to allow flights from South Africa and India to land in the country. Few South African players and the entire broadcasting team were supposed to travel to Abu Dhabi via these two chartered flights.

According to sources, Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, intervened and held crucial talks with the Abu Dhabi government officials to resolve the issue. It has now been decided that the flights from the two countries will land in a different city. ------------------------------

The tournament will go ahead in the first week of June, but there will likely be some changes in the schedule. The official schedule for the tournament will be released by the PCB in the next few days.
