ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s Sufi rock band ‘Junoon’ has made a comeback after 15 years with a cricket World Cup anthem ‘Choolay Aasman / Badley Jahan.’
Cricket is a game that is played, loved and followed zealously by the whole nation regardless of cast, creed, religion and ethnicity. It has a binding power that glues everyone like no other.
The video has a message to the cricket crazed nation to work hard and move ahead with motivation and dedication no matter what the obstacle.
It also calls for unity and shuns the message of hate through a boy who erases hateful slogans from a wall and replaces it with a slogan to hit a six instead.
Salman Ahmad ecctetic at the release divulged that the video was shot 11,000 feet high in Northern Pakistan.
‘This video was shot 11,000 feet high in Northern Pakistan, very close to #Balakot, I saw a Snow leopard crouched, welcoming us into its habitat in the beautiful Shugaraan forest,’ he added.
