Balochistan Govt taking steps for provision of clean drinking water to masses: Engineer

ISLAMABAD: Balochistan Government is taking concrete measures for provision of clean drinking water to the masses especially residing in remote areas of the province.

Chief Engineer Provincial Public Health Engineering Department told Radio Pakistan in Quetta on Sunday that three point eight billion rupees have been allocated in the new fiscal year's budget to achieve the target.

He said that sixty new and fourteen ongoing water supply schemes have recently been completed in different areas of the province at a cost of hundreds of millions of rupees.

Similarly, construction work on a project for provision of clean portable water to the residents of Quetta from Pat Feeder Canal is also in progress which is to be completed at a cost of 40.3 billion rupees.
