Opposition main barrier to legislate for public welfare: Barrister Farogh

Minister for Law and Justice, Barrister Farogh Naseem says opposition is a big barrier to make legislation for public welfare in the Parliament.
He was addressing a ceremony of grant in aid distribution among District Bar Associations and District Bar Councils in Islamabad today.
Farogh Naseem said opposition outside the Parliament and in the committees assures the masses to protect their rights, but when any bill is presented for people's betterment in the House, they do not let it pass.
He said increase in the number of judges in Islamabad High Court is just for the welfare of masses, but opposition even after giving assurance to the government, rejected the bill in the Senate. The Law Minister said incumbent government distributes funds among district bar associations and district bar councils without any political discrimination as it believes in betterment of the legal fraternity only.
The minister on the occasion distributed cheques worth 175 million rupees among 133 district bar associations and district bar councils.
