The viral footage unveils Babar Azam, who serves as the opening batter for Rangpur Riders in this season, engaging in a heated exchange with Irfan Sukkur during the 13th over of Rangpur Riders' innings. Despite efforts from Durdanto Dhaka captain Mosaddek Hossain to diffuse the tension, Babar Azam remained visibly upset with Irfan Sukkur.
Interestingly, amid the on-field altercation, Babar Azam's remarkable form in the tournament persisted. His outstanding batting display significantly contributed to Rangpur Riders securing a convincing victory over Durdanto Dhaka by a substantial margin of 79 runs in Sylhet.
In the match, Rangpur Riders posted a formidable total of 183-8, with Babar Azam emerging as the top scorer with a 46-ball 62. His innings featured five fours and a six, showcasing his prowess with the bat in the ongoing BPL edition.
