Afghanistan's spin master, Rashid Khan, has been ruled out of the league due to a cautious recovery from back surgery, opening the way for Shaheen Afridi-led Lahore Qalandars to grab a replacement in the same draft.
Peshawar Zalmi suffered a big blow as fast bowler Longi Ngidi is likely to be out of PSL 9.
South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi is likely to miss the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9 due to delay in obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Cricket South Africa.
Ngidi's ongoing fitness concerns have been cited as the reason for the delay in the NOC.
Ngidi has already been included in Peshawar Zalmi's roster in the PSL 9 draft, but the franchise can look for a replacement in the supplementary and alternate draft scheduled for January 29.
