The Afghan media has given a different color to a statement by Pakistan's Army Chief General Asim Munir regarding Afghanistan.
Addressing the "Youth Convention" at the Jinnah Convention Center, General Asim answered questions from Pakistani youth.
In response to a question, emphasizing the importance of protecting Pakistani citizens, General Asim stated, "If the life of even one Pakistani is in danger, Afghanistan be damned."
However, the Afghan news agency "Khama Press" reported the statement as, "General Asim" said the well-being of every Pakistani is of utmost importance, even if it means disregarding the entire situation in Afghanistan."
Khama Press claims that the Pakistani Army Chief stated, "When it comes to the protection and safety of every Pakistani, the entire Afghanistan can be destroyed."
Afghan media, in their report, wrote, "Accusing General Asim of not having a long-term stance against the insurgency in Balochistan and not maintaining a friendly attitude towards Pakistan, he shed light that Afghanistan was the only country that opposed Pakistan's entry into the United Nations after gaining independence."
