Lord Mayor London aspires for trade links between Pakistan-London

Lord Mayor of London Alderman Dr Andrew Parmley said that Pakistan offered great opportunities for British companies, adding that reconnecting with growing countries around the world was now more important than ever.

The Lord May visited Pakistan to strengthen trade links between London, the world’s leading financial centre, and Pakistan, which has blossoming banking, legal, and services industries.

He said, “As the world’s leading financial centre, I believe that London has much to offer to Pakistani businesses looking to expand domestically, and overseas.”

During his visit, he held meeting with business and government leaders in Karachi and Islamabad, discussing how the City of London can work more closely with Pakistan. The visit also supported the 70th anniversary of British-Pakistani relations, a new initiative launched last week in Islamabad.

He met with several government ministers, holding substantive conversations on various topics.
