CPEC: KP government inks accords worth $10 billion with FWO

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has signed agreements with Frontier Works Organization for executing a number of development projects in the province.
Official sources told Radio Pakistan Peshawar correspondent that these projects are part of China Pakistan Economic Corridor, which will be completed at a cost of about ten billion dollars.
The projects include three hydro power stations in Chitral that will produce nine hundred megawatts of electricity and one in Balakot having the capacity of producing 400-MW of electricity.
An oil refinery in Karak and a cement industry in Haripur and Industrial Economic Zones one each in Peshawar and Mardan will also be completed under the project.
