West Asia Baseball Cup: Pakistan set up final clash with Sri Lanka

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Defending champions Pakistan defeated Iran 11-0 Tuesday in the semifinal to face Sri Lanka in the final of West Asia Baseball Cup 2017 here at Pakistan Sports Complex.

Pakistani batters and pitchers kept on their dominance right from the beginning. Arsalan Jamshed, Riaz Khan and Fazal Khan scored two runs each, while skipper Sumair Zawar, Umair Bhatti, Majeed, Ameen Afridi and Faqir Hussain chipped in with one run apiece.

In the second semifinal, Sri Lanka defeated Nepal 11-0 to set final showdown with Pakistan on Tuesday. The match for third and fourth position will also be held on Tuesday between Iran and Nepal.
