Despite all odds, PTI emerges as single largest party in KP local government elections

By-elections of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Local Government, non-final results have been released on 72 seats of various categories.
The results of village and neighborhood council, general, women, youth, farmers, workers seats have been released. According to the details, by-elections were held in 21 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 23 general seats. 9 seats for women, 10 seats for farmers and workers and 30 seats for youth.
In the by-elections, PTI won 13 seats, JUI 6, Jamaat-e-Islami 5 seats, PPP 2 seats, TLP 1 seat while most independent candidates were successful.
Independent candidates won 40 seats, however most of the independent candidates had affiliations with PTI. According to the Election Commission, the results of 71 seats out of 72 have been received
