Farooq Sattar press conference about links with Altaf Hussian

KARACHI: (APP) A leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Dr Muhammad Farooq Sattar Saturday said that MQM-Pakistan had disassociated itself from the founder of the MQM, Altaf Hussain.

Addressing a news conference here he announced `We have no more connection with the London walas.'

Farooq Sattar demanded political ownership stating that their mandate should be accepted.

He maintained that the present party setup had nothing to do with terrorist activities.

Dr Farooq Sattar demanded that for continuing peaceful political activities, permission be accorded to open "Nine Zero" and the sealed party offices.

He assured that the MQM's platform would not be used for provocative speeches.

Farooq Sattar joined by Khawaja Izhar ul Hassan, leader of the opposition in Sindh Assembly alleged that 20 party offices had been demolished `illegally' claiming that these offices were not set up on encroached lands.

He was of the view that whatever had happened in the past should be ignored and demanded "we should be accorded opportunity to work.

By our work we will prove that MQM is a patriotic party," he added.

MPA Khawaja Izhar ul Hassan, demanded Sindh police to release the detained women workers of MQM.
