Inside story of removal of SAPM Firdous Ashiq Awan

ISLAMABAD - Former Special Assistant to PM on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan was removed from his post as Prime Minister Imran Khan was unhappy over his performance.
The prime minister had been informed the outgoing special aide in differed meetings that he was not satisfied with his performance.
According to sources, the prime minister was also presented a charge sheet against the special assistant before she was removed from the post.
Meanwhile, Awan rejected the reports about allegations as baseless, stating that the prime minister has authority to replace the cabinet members at any time.

She also thanked the premier for believing her, adding, “I tried to perform my duties in this one year by utilizing all my abilities”.
He also congratulated Senator Shibli Faraz over becoming information minister and Lt Gen (r) Asim Saleem Bajwa for replacing her.
