LAHORE – Former foreign minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has taken a surprisestance over the APC meeting decisions which was led by MMA and PMLN.
Khawaja Asif has expressed reservation on the decision taken durign an AllParties Conference.
An APC hosted by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President ShehbazSharif on Friday rejected the results of general elections 2018.
The political parties from across the country except Pakistan MuslimLeague-Nawaz (PML-N), who participated in the APC held in Islamabad,supported the action of not taking oath.
Sources said that the proposal of not taking oath was forwarded by JUI-Fchief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and ANP chief Asfandyar Wali.
The JUI-F chief said that worst rigging of the history was seen inWednesday’s general elections, adding that this is not public mandate, butthe public mandate has been robbed.
Speaking on ‘Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath’, Asif said decisions taken at theAPC would be harmful for democracy.
“We won’t continue the precedent set by Imran Khan. Any harm to democracywould prove dangerous to the centre,” he added.
