Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif hassaid that no single party is authorized to expel or retain anyone from thePakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) alliance.
While giving an exclusive interview to a private news channel, theopposition leader in National Assembly said that alliances among politicalparties are formed and broken and there is nothing new with that.“There are10 parties in PDM and all decisions are taken through consultation. MaryamNawaz has the right to do politics. The 30-year relationship with ChaudhryNisar ended at a wrong time.
There was no consultation on his oath,” he said adding that he is ready tohold former premier Nawaz Sharif’s feet on national interest. Criticizingthe Imran Khan led government, the PML-N leader said that the presentrulers came through selection and rigging.He further stated that NationalAccountability Bureau (NAB) has no proofs of corruption against him.
“The anti-corruption watchdog summoned me in a Saaf Paani case and thenarrested me in Ashiana case. The NAB admitted that there was no evidence ofillicit income against me, having completed projects worth Rs 3,300 billionduring its tenure,” he said adding that he submits taxes regularly.Theformer chief minister said that he was given bail on merit by court.
“The Lahore High Court (LHC) wrote in its verdict that the cases againsthim were unwarranted and no proofs of corruption, kickbacks, moneylaundering and TTs were presented,” he said. Shehbaz Sharif said that hegets scared when they [government] talks about the Riyasat-e-Madina, addingthat the rulers should be careful while referring to the state of Madina.
