The Establishment Division on Wednesday issued a notification regardingthe amendment to federal bureaucracy/civil servants promotion rules afterapproval of Prime Minister Imran Khan, reported 24News HD TV channel.

According to the amendment, Departmental Selection Board (DSB) regardingthe departmental promotion to grade 19 has been reorganized. Provincialchief secretaries and IGs will be part of the board.

Promotion link of all cadres of federalofficers to grade 19 will be through the DSB. The establishmentlink divisionlink will be the chairman andgrade 21 officers from the law ministry and the establishmentlink divisionlink will be board members.

Seventy-five percent of attendance is necessary for the board meeting thatwill be considered invalid without the presence of the member of theestablishment link divisionlink.
