*NEW DELHI: Former Indian air force (IAF)’s official Ram Parkash onWednesday confirmed that India has lost two MiG 21 jets and three of itspilots.*
“We have lost our two jets and three pilots,” Parkash wrote in his tweet.
He further said in his tweet that the morale of the IAF is down after theheavy loss.
Earlier in the day, In a few seconds briefing , the Indian Ministry ofExternal Affairs (MEA) confirmed that an aircraft was shot down and itspilot is missing.
The spokesperson for the Indian MEA said, “We unfortunately lost one MiG-21in this engagement and an Indian pilot is missing in action.
“In the aerial engagement, a Pakistan fighter aircraft shot down a MiG-21Bison,” he added.
The MEA official further said Pakistan Air Force (PAF) targeted threemilitary installations of India.

Two fighter jets of Indian Air Force were shot down by Pakistan Air Forcein bright day light on Wednesday, said Inter Services Public Relations(ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor.
According to the DG ISPR, Indian fighter jets violated Line of Control(LoC) today, and in a robust response, the PAF destroyed two aircraft ofIAF inside Pakistani airspace.
