Further increase in Electricity Prices approved by NEPRA

Nepra has made electricity more expensive for electric consumers. According to details, Nepra has approved an increase of Rs4.45 in electricity rates for Karachi.
The approval for this increase was given during the first three-month adjustment of the last fiscal year, and the additional charges will be collected from electric consumers in October and November. Nepra has sent a notification of the price hike to the federal government.
In addition, Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) continues its recovery process from defaulters in all five districts. A collection of Rs. 30.56 million has been made so far in the ongoing operation, with a total recovery of Rs. 443.89 million.
