Pakistan Transgender Act declared un Islamic by Council of Islamic Ideology

Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) Tuesday deemed Transgender Act 2018 un-Islamic.
The council said many sections of the Transgender Act are not in conformity with Islamic teachings.
The council asked the government to form a committee to review the Transgender Act and the committee should consist of legal experts and religious scholars.
The council said the said act could add to social problems in the country.
