Rejecting US pressure, Turkish President Erdogan hints at buying new Russian Missile Defence System

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says his country is considering buying a second Russian missile system despite strong objections by the United States.

In an interview with American broadcaster CBS News, Erdogan said Turkey would make decisions on its defence systems independently.

Earlier, talking to journalists before departing New York, Erdogan said Turkey would buy new missile defence systems if needed and that it was already developing its own.
