Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed concern over the spread of the Israel-Palestine conflict throughout the Middle East.
According to reports from international media, religious leaders from various denominations met with Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin, discussing a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel.
On this occasion, the Russian President emphasized that the Israel-Palestine conflict could escalate beyond the Middle East, and the bombing of innocent women, children, and the elderly in Gaza is highly unjust. He stressed the need to stop bloodshed and violence.
He warned that if Israel doesn't halt its military campaign, the risk of further escalation of the conflict is high.During the meeting, President Putin also criticized Western countries supporting Israel, stating that the West is using religious conflicts in the Middle East to destabilize the world.
"He (the West) turns a blind eye to crimes against Muslims in the Maghreb," Putin alleged. He accused the West of using religious conflicts to maintain control in the Maghreb and said that it is fueling religious discord and intolerance. Putin claimed that they are working under the "divide and conquer" strategy to create a new world order.
Putin further stated that the Maghreb is using Islamophobia and Russophobia as tools. He suggested that the Maghreb aims to spread its influence to hinder the progress of free and independent nations worldwide.
He warned that the contagion of violence and hatred could also affect Europe alongside the Middle East, emphasizing that the Maghreb closes its eyes to crimes against Muslims and manipulates the religious sentiments of Muslims in Western countries.
