Pakistani cricket team director Mickey Arthur opens up over loss against South Africa

Mickey Arthur, the director of the Pakistan cricket team, has said that we did not play cricket at the standard required for the World Cup.

After the loss to South Africa, Mickey Arthur held a press conference and stated that today our batting was not good; we needed to score around 300 runs. He mentioned that our bowling was better today, but the batting couldn't accumulate the necessary runs. We delivered the best bowling performance of the tournament today.

The director of the Pakistan team further stated that everyone is making an effort, but our batting form is not up to the mark, and we are not playing the caliber of cricket required in the World Cup. He said that against Afghanistan, we had an average in all three departments, and today, the way the bowlers toiled, he is proud of them.

Mickey Arthur also expressed his intention to strive to finish the tournament well by winning the remaining three matches. He noted that we didn't play the last few overs correctly; if we had reached 300 runs, it could have been defended.

We haven't played well in this tournament. He concluded by saying that it wouldn't be right to blame individuals like Babar Azam or Muhammad Nawaz; he knows that the players and staff have put in their best effort.
