During the World Cup match against South Africa in Chennai on Friday, Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan achieved a significant milestone, crossing 2,000 one-day international runs.
The 31-year-old accomplished this feat when he began his innings with a boundary against fast bowler Marco Jansen after Pakistan chose to bat at the Chidambaram Stadium.
Rizwan has been in excellent form during this World Cup, accumulating 302 runs before the South Africa game. At that time, South Africa's Quinton de Kock was leading the batting chart with 407 runs.
In the rankings, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, both from India, were second and fourth, with 354 and 311 runs, respectively, while Australia's David Warner held the third spot with 332 runs in five matches.
