The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has announced the occurrence of the last lunar eclipse of 2023 in Pakistan, scheduled to take place tonight. This celestial event is expected to commence at 11:02 pm on Friday, October 27, and reach its zenith at 1:14 AM on Saturday, October 28. The eclipse will conclude at 3:26 AM on Saturday, October 28.
During a lunar eclipse, the Earth's shadow falls on the Moon, resulting in a dimming of its luminance or, in some cases, a reddish hue.
The PMD, mindful of safety, has recommended that individuals exercise caution when observing the lunar eclipse due to the potential harm direct sunlight can inflict on the eyes.
To view the eclipse safely, people are advised to use specialized eclipse glasses or project the eclipse's image onto a screen.
