Finally some relief afforded to PTI Chairman Imran Khan

In Islamabad, a court has dismissed the Gujranwala Police's request for an investigation into Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, as reported by ARY News.

According to the details, the Gujranwala police had asked the court to permit an investigation into PTI Chairman Imran Khan regarding the case involving vandalism at Gujranwala Cantt, which resulted in the injury of 14 police personnel.

Judge Abul Hasnat inquired why an investigation had not been carried out on Imran Khan yet. In response, the Gujranwala police mentioned that the FIA report had not been released. The judge then questioned how it would be proven that the PTI chief had committed the crime.

On the same day, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) rejected the bail request of the PTI chairman in the cipher case. Following the rejection of the plea to halt the cipher case trial, IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq also turned down the bail plea of the PTI Chief.

It's worth noting that the Islamabad High Court judge, Aamer Farooq, reserved the verdict on October 16, providing ample time for both the prosecution and defense to present their arguments and evidence.

Meanwhile, the PTI Chief is presently in prison on judicial remand in the cipher case.
