Pakistani cricketers are worst paid in the world: Report

ISLAMABAD: A report by a cricketing website stated that Pakistani cricketers are one of the worst paid in world cricket.
The report stated that Pakistani cricketers, in the top-tier contract grade, are being paid less than Irish cricketers.
It also claimed that the cricket boards of Zimbabwe and Bangladesh are paying lower than their Pakistani counterpart.
Cricket Australia pays 1,600% more than what the Pakistan Cricket Board does.
Australia’s Steve Smith is the highest paid cricketer in the world. He is England’s Test skipper Joe Root, with earnings and Indian skipper Virat Kohli is third on the list.
Faf du Plessis of South Africa and Angelo Mathews of Sri Lanka were at fourth and fifth spot respectively.
Pakistani skipper Sarfraz Ahmed was at sixth place in the list.
Jason Holder of West Indies stood at seventh spot while New Zealand’s Kane Williamson, Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan and Zimbabwe’s Graeme Cremer were at eighth, ninth and tenth place respectively.
