Former PM Nawaz Sharif conveys important message to party leadership

Pakistan Muslim League-N supremo Mian Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday chaired a party meeting.

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif took the party leadership into confidence regarding holding a dinner for the opposition parties.

On the occasion, the party supremo advised that there should be no impression of division within the party ranks on the national issues. He said a strong message should be given to the masses in this regard. He directed that there should be a singular and unison narrative of the PML-N should be conveyed to the masses.

The meeting was attended by former finance minister Ishaq Dar, Abid Sher Ali, and others.

Shehbaz Sharif had held a dinner on Monday for the opposition parties—a move taken as an attempt to reunite the opposition parties. The dinner was attended by several opposition leaders.

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz did not attend the dinner giving way to speculations regarding division in party ranks. Maryam, however, clarified later on that she did not attend the dinner as she was not a parliamentarian. He asked to stop making issues out of everything.

She has said that he (Shehbaz Sharif) hosted the dinner as the leader of the opposition as they had to devise a strategy for the budget session.
