Establishment Division notifies new promotion rules for civil servants

The Establishment Division on Wednesday issued a notification regarding the amendment to federal bureaucracy/civil servants promotion rules after approval of Prime Minister Imran Khan, reported 24News HD TV channel.
According to the amendment, Departmental Selection Board (DSB) regarding the departmental promotion to grade 19 has been reorganized. Provincial chief secretaries and IGs will be part of the board.
Promotion link of all cadres of federal officers to grade 19 will be through the DSB. The establishment link division link will be the chairman and grade 21 officers from the law ministry and the establishment link division link will be board members.
Seventy-five percent of attendance is necessary for the board meeting that will be considered invalid without the presence of the member of the establishment link division link.
