ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Monday issued written orders regarding hearings on three separate bail petitions of former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)’s Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
Former president had been given interim bail through eight petitions in different cases, initiated by National Accountability Bureau (NAB), related to mega money laundering and fake accounts.
The court had already earlier issued orders in five bail petitions of former president.
According to petitions No. 1660 and 1834, the former president had been granted interim bail till May 30.
The NAB had sought time from court to answer in petition No 1834 which had been accepted, the order stated.
It further stated that NAB had been directed to submit answer before next date of hearing.
The order stated that Asif Zardari had been granted pre-arrest bail till June 13, in petition No. 1988.
The accused’s counsel had alleged NAB for working with dishonesty against his client.
The court had directed the former president to join the NAB investigation and appear before it in person.
