Flash floods kill 13 in Afghanistan

KABUL: In Afghanistan, thirteen people have been killed and over hundred houses destroyed due to flash floods in Ghor province over past two days.
Provincial governor Ghulam Nasir Khazih said floods largely damaged provincial capital Firoz Koah and neighboring Tolak and Shahrak districts where farmlands were also destroyed.
The governor also called upon national and international aid agencies to assist with the flood affected people.
